First things first I cannot tell you how happy I am that you were able to find Naked And Anxious and that this is a site that may be something useful for you. I want to begin by telling you a little bit about why this site exists and what is it’s purpose…

I suffer from anxiety. Period. End of sentence. I started going to therapy which helped A LOT (disclaimer I am not a therapist, psychologist, certified, or any of the above so this is all just personal opinion, however if you’re thinking about therapy that’s an awesome idea). My therapist told me that when I’m having bouts of anxiety to write everything down. I started doing this homework as they called it and I cannot believe how well it worked. Something so simple and yet would ease my anxiety in a ridiculously amazing way. So of course I thought why not take this one step further…

I love blogging. It’s a really great way to connect with people so I thought why not create a space that is for everyone. Anxiety doesn’t care about age, sex, gender, race, etc. (also why you won’t find photos of myself plastered all over or too much background personal information, I don’t want anyone to feel this blog has a certain “audience”, just sharing real personal issues with my anxiety). It just cares whether or not it can creep up and invade your brain and fill it all with that black anxiety matter that sometimes feels like it will never go away. Hence this blog, I want to not only write down all my anxiety moments, the good, the bad and the ugly, but include yours as well. Collective word vomit. Sounds tasty, no?

I hope that going forward with each post there is something someone can gain from it. Building a small community of people who can have a safe space of no judgement, just relief from this insane bitch called anxiety because I know I cannot possibly be the only one who feels this way. So go on have a read and see if there is something you can vomit on in here!

Sincerely,

Naked And Anxious
